Ouidad Must Have Summer Tips for Curly Hair!

Condition is Key
Quench your curls with a deep treatment every other week so your won't soak up humidity and expand. Also, use a leave in conditioner treatment to seal in moisture for healthier hair andscalp.

Ditch the Tools
The less you touch your hair, the better results you will have with your curls. Ditch the heat styling tools, and let your hair air dry. It works wonders to keep it naturally frizz free.

Swim Safe Curls
Spending summer days at the beach or pool can leave your hair feeling coarse, dry, or umanagable. Use a clarifying shampoo with fruit acids to get rid of salt water residue, chlorine and other minerals from hard water. It's perfect for color-treated hair and a must have from swim-filled vacations or gym locker.

UV Protection for Your Hair
Your skin isn't the only thing that needs protection from the sun. UV Rays can weak havoc on your hair, causing color to turn or fade and dry out already thirsty curls.

Slick Style
The best way to protect your hair at the beach or pool without sacrificing style is to use a conditioner and slick it through your hair like you were making a ponytail.

Quick and Easy Pedi

If you have a body wash/shower gel, hand soap, body scrub, lotion, etc that you just don't like, don't use, or don't need I've got a solution for you! You can do your own at-home pedicure on a regular basis with products you already have. A perfect, but not time consuming, pedi should consist of a foot soak, foot scrub, and foot creame. Here's How:

What you'll need:
Cuticle Oil
Clean Basin (you can use a plastic container or your tub)
Body Wash/Shower Gel, Hand Soap, or a Bath Oil
Pumice (optional)
Body Scrub
Lotion (any kind will do)
Towel
Slippers (optional)

1) Put some cuticle oil around your cuticles and sides of your nails.

2) Fill a clean basin with warm water. As your filling with warm water, pour the body wash/shower gel, hand soap, or bath oil into the basin. You don't need a lot! But you will obviously need more if you're using a large basin.

3) Stir the water with your hand a little, to make sure the body wash/shower gel, hand soap, or bath oil is evenly distributed.

4) Put your feet in the basin. Let them soak and absorb the moisturizing properties of the foot soak. They should soak for 5-10 minutes.

5) Rub the pumice on the bottom of your heels, pads of your feet, and your toes. This should help remove calluses on the bottom of your feet.

6) Rub a body scrub all over your feet. This will remove any dead skin cells.

7) You can soak your feet for a minute or so.

8) Dry your feet with a towel.

9) Apply a lotion to your feet.

10) Now, slip your slippers on and enjoy your soft, happy feet! They can't thank you enough for this!
